Overview
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Band 6 Dietitian (Mental Health & CAMHS) to join our busy Mental Health Dietetics Service based at South Essex. The post involves working across MH inpatient units, community settings and CAMHS. The working hours are 18.75 hours per week with flexible working arrangements available.
We are looking for dynamic, creative, highly motivated and enthusiastic individuals with an interest in CAMHS & Mental Health Dietetics. Regular professional and management supervision will be provided, and there is support to develop skills in this specialist area. Consideration will also be given to candidates seeking a Band 5 developmental position.
Responsibilities
* Provide specialist assessment and management in dietetics within CAMHS & Mental Health Dietetics team.
* Work within uni-professional and multi-professional teams with regular supervision.
* Be part of the integrated team of therapists and provide evidence-based, patient-centred care. Lead and supervise junior staff and students where appropriate.
* Deliver all aspects of specialist nutritional or dietetic advice, treatment and support, considering mental, psychological, emotional and physical needs. Deliver an age-inclusive service for adults of working age and older adults in mental health services and CAMHS; align interventions with the Trust Eating Disorder Pathways.
* Plan and deliver treatment for your own caseload with a high degree of autonomy under supervision of senior specialist dietitians.
* Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to contribute to treatment and care plans and act as a dietetic/nutritional expert to service users, carers and other professionals in various settings.
* Participate in peer supervision, contribute to training and support of colleagues and students; may lead clinical audits or conduct research.
* Provide supervision or management of students, basic grade dietitians and dietetics assistants as required, in line with Trust HR processes.
* Work with partner organisations, service users, carers and clinicians to deliver a seven-day-a-week, 24/7 service where appropriate, including community locations.

* Professional references covering the last three years of employment history are required with application.
