An exciting opportunity has arisen for an innovative, enthusiastic and highly motivated qualified Social Worker to join the Specialist Mental Health Team at Birmingham City Council.
Responsibilities
* Carry out assessments under The Care Act 2014 and Safeguarding Section 42 Enquiries.
* Work closely in partnership with the NHS to consider citizen's Section 117 aftercare needs under The Mental Health Act 1983.
* Complete support plans and present funding applications to budget holders.
* Prepare social circumstances reports for the Mental Health Review Tribunal for psychiatric inpatients.
* Collaborate positively as part of a multidisciplinary team and with other stakeholders.
Qualifications & Requirements
* Hold a Social Work qualification and be registered with Social Work England.
* Have demonstrable social work experience.
* Have the right to work in the UK; sponsorship not available.
* Upload an up-to-date CV and Personal Statement (no more than 1500 words) outlining how you meet the essential criteria.
* Will be subject to a Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check.
