Protocol Education are looking for dedicated SEN Teaching Assistants to support pupils with special educational needs across schools in Wakefield. Whether you’re experienced in SEND, working towards a career in education, or simply passionate about helping young people thrive, we want to hear from you.

About the Role
You’ll be part of a warm, supportive team providing tailored support to pupils who need a little extra care to reach their full potential.
Your day might include:
* Supporting students with autism, ADHD, speech and language difficulties, or social-emotional needs
* Working 1:1 or in small groups to help children access learning and build confidence
* Assisting teachers with classroom routines, resources, and activities
* Creating a safe, structured, and encouraging learning environment
* Celebrating progress – every smile, step, and small victory counts!

About You
We’d love to hear from you if you:
* Have experience working with children or adults with additional needs (school, care, or youth work backgrounds all welcome)
* Are calm, reliable, and great at building relationships
* Can follow support plans and take initiative in the classroom
* Have a genuine passion for supporting every child’s right to learn and succeed
A DBS on the Update Service is ideal, but we can help with that if needed.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
