More about the role Successful candidates can expect to manage a diverse caseload that may include low-value non-complex non-portal fast track cases. They will also collaborate with other members of the Unit within specialised areas, such as liability investigations, medical record review, instructing experts and Counsel, client and witness meetings, legal research, disclosure preparation, and court attendance. Candidates will work independently, producing high-quality work with minimal assistance from administrative and secretarial staff. They will also utilise case management systems, Word, and Excel proficiently. Importantly, candidates should be able to communicate clearly and effectively with clients, colleagues, and external parties, as well as exercise judgement and decision-making skills while working under supervision. More about you Knowledge of personal injury law as applicable to the role is essential, with familiarity with Pre-Action Protocols, Civil Procedure Rules (CPR), and funding within the personal injury field also being desirable. Candidates should have the ability to work efficiently, accurately, and meet deadlines, as well as having strong prioritisation skills and attention to detail. We also expect candidates to have excellent interpersonal and written/verbal communication skills. Commitment to providing exceptional client care is important to us, demonstrated by being team player with experience in client contact, either in person or by telephone. Competence in using electronic case management systems will be beneficial, as well as previous experience working within a legal environment. Proficiency in IT skills is expected.
