Overview

Training Qualifications UK is a market leader in technical education. We work with over 500 schools, colleges, universities, and training providers across the world to provide qualification certificates, endorsements, and apprenticeships to over 150,000 learners.

Whats the secret to our success? Simply put, we do things differently here!

We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Assessment Quality Assurance Manager to lead our Results and Logistics Quality Assurance functions. This is a hands-on role, ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced, operational environment.

Youll be up on your feet, actively overseeing print production, conducting live audits, and ensuring tight quality controls are in place across all processes. The role also requires strong technical capabilities, including confidence in using systems that support operational workflows and the ability to troubleshoot and optimise processes through technology.

This position is pivotal in maintaining the accuracy, compliance, and integrity of our assessment outputs within a highly regulated setting.

You will manage two specialist teams, each supported by a Team Leader:

* One team is office-based, working closely with physical logistics and print operations.
* The other is desk-based, with a mix of remote and on-site team members, focusing on digital and results-related quality assurance.

Youll be responsible for driving high standards across all assessment-related operations, ensuring consistency, efficiency, and excellence in delivery.

Key Responsibilities

* Provide strategic and operational management to the Results and Logistics Quality Assurance teams.
* Line manage the Team Leaders, setting high expectations, ensuring they are effectively leading their teams, delivering high-quality training, and maintaining performance standards.
* Own all operational processes within the Results and Logistics QA teams, ensuring they are quality-focused, clearly documented, and regularly reviewed.
* Ensure all outputs, including results, certificates, and printed materials, meet internal standards and regulatory requirements.
* Oversee the effectiveness of quality assurance checks carried out by officers, ensuring Team Leaders are auditing work and escalating issues appropriately.
* Conduct regular spot checks on officer outputs to verify accuracy, compliance, and consistency.
* Monitor and review team capacity, proactively identifying and addressing resourcing needs and workload distribution.
* Ensure outstanding and regular training is delivered by Team Leaders to support continuous development and operational excellence.
* Lead on audit readiness and ensure accurate record-keeping for all QA activities.
* Conduct regular performance reviews, 1:1s, and team meetings to ensure high performance, engagement, and staff development.
* Foster a culture of quality, accountability, and continuous improvement across both teams

Other Responsibilities

* Work collaboratively with the wider management team to review and improve cross-functional processes.
* Ensure alignment with organisational goals and keep the Head of Operational Services informed of key updates.
* Lead on broader management responsibilities as required, contributing to strategic planning and operational delivery.
* Provide regular Management Information (MI) reports and updates to the Head of Operational Services, highlighting performance, risks, capacity, and improvement opportunities.
* Act as a systems and process expert, leading the effective use of platforms that support operational workflows.
* Be proactive in identifying efficiencies, optimising processes, and maximising the use of technology to enhance quality and productivity.

Key Requirements

* Previous management experience, with a focus on performance and quality.
* Excellent attention to detail and analytical skills.
* Strong organisational and time management abilities.
* Technically confident, with the ability to quickly learn and navigate systems, troubleshoot issues, and support the optimisation of digital workflows.
* Proficient in using data systems and Microsoft Office applications.
* Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines without compromising quality.
* Experience in reporting MI and using data to inform decision-making

Desirable Requirements

* Proven experience in a quality assurance or assessment operations role within a regulated environment.
* Familiarity with print production and logistics in a secure environment.
* Experience with audit preparation and regulatory inspections.

Key Characteristics

* Quality-focused mindset with a passion for continuous improvement.
* Strong leadership and interpersonal skills.
* Clear and confident communicator.
