SEN Teaching Assistant??Location: Forest of Dean, Gloucestershire??Contract Type: Full-time, Term-time only??Salary: Competitive, dependent on experience and qualifications??Start Date: September 2025 About the RoleWe are looking for a caring, resilient, and proactive SEN Teaching Assistant to join a warm and inclusive primary school in the beautifulForest of Dean. This role involves supporting pupils with a range of special educational needs, including autism, ADHD, and speech and language difficulties, both in the classroom and through targeted interventions.Key Responsibilities
* Provide 1:1 and small group support for pupils with SEN
* Assist in the implementation of EHCPs and personalised learning plans
* Work closely with class teachers and the SENCO to adapt resources and strategies
* Support pupils' emotional regulation and social development
* Foster a safe, inclusive, and engaging learning environment
What We're Looking For
* Experience working with children withSEN, ideally in a school setting
* A calm, patient, and empathetic approach
* Strong communication and teamwork skills
* A willingness to learn and take part in ongoing training
* Relevant qualifications (e.g. Level 2/3 Teaching Assistant, or equivalent) are desirable.
