Senior Staff Nurse – Radiology/Imaging
London: The post holder will be expected to rotate across The Harley Street Campus, and The Princess Grace Hospital. Full time: 37.5 hours per week + rotational on call. Shifts: Monday–Friday 8:00–20:00, with additional weekday and weekend on call. The role is in Imaging/Interventional Radiology (IR) to join The Harley Street Clinic and the Princess Grace Hospital, currently rated as “Outstanding” and “Good” by the CQC. The primary base will be the Harley Street Clinic; travel to other sites may be required. The post holder will support the Radiologist and Radiographers in management of the clinical areas, including assessment of care needs and development/evaluation of programs of care.
Responsibilities
* Provide a professional standard of excellence in nursing service for all patients.
* Competent in all areas of imaging nursing, including assisting with one stop breast clinic, imaging guided drainages, biopsies, Interventional Radiology cases and therapeutic procedures.
* Share clinical knowledge with multi-disciplinary colleagues through CPD sessions/clinical competency forms and informal teaching/training opportunities.
* Participate in regular mandatory training relating to safeguarding vulnerable adults and children, ensuring compliance in escalation of safeguarding concerns.
* Assist Reservations/IR Co-ordinator and Radiographers in the booking of immediate appointments.
* Form effective working relationships with Consultants, Radiographers and administrative staff/medical secretaries within the Department and the wider hospital.
What You’ll Bring / Qualifications
* Hold a BSc (or equivalent) in Nursing and hold a current UK NMC registration meeting PREP requirement.
* Experience in Imaging/Interventional Radiology (IR) is essential.
* Demonstrate commitment to Imaging nursing through CPD/protocol development within a radiology area.
* Have a portfolio of relevant CPD.
* Post Graduate qualification within imaging or another relevant area.
* Able to use own initiative and work as part of a team.
* Flexible hours and on call to cover the emergency service.
* Ability to work under pressure and be reliable.
* Strong organisational skills across multiple modalities.
