Senior Database Administrator - Manchester - Salary £85,000 + Bonus
The Company:

The Role:
As Senior DBA, you'll take ownership of production and non-production database environments, ensuring they remain secure, resilient, and optimised. You'll work closely with engineering, DevOps, and SRE teams to embed best practices, automate processes, and deliver stable operations.
This is a hands-on technical role suited to someone who thrives on solving complex problems, driving improvements, and mentoring others. You'll have autonomy to shape solutions and influence standards, while contributing to a culture of continuous learning.
The Skill Requirements:
We're looking for candidates with a blend of the following:
* Strong experience with relational database technologies (Mongo/MariaDB/MySQL/Oracle or similar)
* Deep understanding of database architecture, replication, partitioning, and performance tuning
* Proficiency in Linux administration and scripting (Bash, Shell or Python)
* Understanding of DevOps methodologies ad practises (IaC, CI/CD, etc.)
* Excellent communication skills and a collaborative mindset
