The role
As a Maintenance Manager, you’ll lead and support a dedicated team to deliver an effective regime of planned and reactive maintenance across the Royal School of Military Engineering(RSME) Minley estate. This is a role where your leadership will directly impact operational readiness and safety, while giving you the opportunity to develop your career in a dynamic environment. This is a senior role reporting direct to the leadership team.
Day-to-day you’ll be required to:
1. Manage and support a team of supervisors, engineers, and admin staff.
2. Oversee delivery of planned and reactive maintenance across mechanical, electrical, and building fabric disciplines.
3. Plan, prioritise, and coordinate maintenance and small works, ensuring safe deployment of staff and contractors.
4. Drive improvements to enhance output effectiveness and consistency across the contract.
5. Ensure KPIs and service standards are consistently met.
This role is full time, 37 hours per week and is based on site at Minley.
Essential experience of the Maintenance Manager:
6. Facilities management experience.
7. People management experience.
8. Strong knowledge of health and safety in the built environment.
Qualifications for the Maintenance Manager:
9. Trade qualification or time-served experience.
10. Full UK driving licence.

The successful candidate must be able to achieve and maintain Security Check (SC) security clearance for this role.
