We have a Temporary Routing Technical Officer role available within TATA Steel’s site. This role is ideal for someone who considers themself to be hands-on and is a connecting commercial and technical departments from within a heavy industrial environment. Role: Routing Technical Officer Location: Tata Steel, Trostre, Maes-Ar-Ddafen Road, Llanelli SA14 9SD Pay: £28,000, £14.75ph Band: F Contract length: 12 months initially Shift Patterns: All 36.5 hours per week, Monday -Friday hours: 08:30-16:45 Responsibilities: * Serve as the primary technical link between Commercial, Sales, Production, and Quality to unify understanding of order requirements and feasibility. * Convert complex customer specs and commercial needs into practical routing instructions and manufacturing parameters. * Maintain the integrity of all product routing and manufacturing master data within the core system * Provide immediate technical assistance to manufacturing to resolve routing issues impacting schedule or quality. * Collaborate with Quality Specialists to analyze defect mapping data and refine routing/manufacturing parameters for continuous improvement. * Stay current with product specs, materials, and technology to proactively update and optimize order routing paths. * Connecting commercial and technical departments together * Routing orders into system * Manufacturing support * Mapping quality defects Essential requirements: * Strong Technical and Manufacturing Acumen * System and Data Management Skills * Problem-Solving and Troubleshooting * Cross-Functional Communication and Liaison Skills * Quality Focus and Continuous Improvement * Driving licence and access to own vehicle (due to the size and nature of the site) * Proven experience making decisions within a complex organisation * Strong verbal and written communication skill * Ability to work independently and as part of a team * Capability of using own initiative and applying a proactive approach to tasks Benefits: * Advice and editing on your current CV * Dedicated team throughout your journey within the role * Paid holiday * Exclusive online services including restaurant and retail discounts * Chance to receive £300* for referring a friend * Opportunity for progression into permanent roles * Competitive rates of pay If you are interested please reply to this email and we can go from there!
