Role- Electrical Project Design Engineer
Salary- £45,000 - £55,000 per annum (dependent on experience, please advise)
Type- Permanent
Location- Leicestershire
My client work within engineering and they are looking to take on an experienced Electrical Project Design Engineer to develop as part of their team.
The Electrical Design Engineer role will ideally have the following attributes:
Apprenticeship / HNC/ HND / BTEC / City & Guilds / Degree qualification or similar in Electrical Engineering
Have previous experience carrying out electrical design
Have knowledge of how PLC systems work
Proficiency with CAD software such as AutoCAD, AutoCAD Electrical, EPlan or SolidWorks Electrical
Experience of working in heavy engineering sectors such as Mining, Nuclear, Energy, Rail, Power Plant or similar
Excellent problem solving capabilities
Previous wiring and fault finding experience would be ideal
Have experience of working with different electrical test equipment
Good project skills and the ability to work to deadlines
Be able to work well individually as well as part of a team
Have excellent communication skills both verbal and written
Full Driving LicenceThe Electrical Design Engineer role will involve:
Working within the existing multi-disciplinary engineering team
Producing detailed design specifications for control systems
Testing electrical control panels
Producing test specifications as required
Liaising directly with customers as part of the projects
Developing control system hardware
