We’re looking for a driven and commercially astute Business Development Manager to spearhead growth across the company’s innovative lighting portfolio within the Southwest regions of the UK

As a Specification Sales Manager, you will play a pivotal role in expanding our market presence, building strong client relationships, and driving revenue growth. You’ll work closely with key stakeholders across sectors including commercial, residential, and industrial projects.
The Companies target markets for their lighting solutions are Commercial offices, School/Universities, Healthcare, Retail, Industrial and Outdoor Environments.
They focus heavily on high energy-efficient LED systems, Smart/Connected lighting controls ,censors and Human-Centric lighting.
Due to continued growth across the UK, they now seek to appoint an experienced lighting sales specialist to assist them with their continues growth and expansion plans for 2026.
Identify and develop new business opportunities within the lighting sector
Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, contractors, and specifiers
Manage the full sales cycle from lead generation to closing deals
Build and maintain strong relationships with lighting designers, M&E consultants, and architects
Deliver engaging presentations and CPD sessions to promote lighting solutions
Secure product specifications and convert opportunities into successful sales
Provide both technical and commercial support to clients
Manage projects from initial specification through to completion
Maintain accurate sales pipeline and reporting via CRM systems
Consistently achieve and exceed sales targets
Experience within the lighting industry or a related sector
~ Understanding of the specification sales process
~ Experience working with M&E consultants, architects, and/or contractors
~ Excellent communication and relationship-building skills
~ Strong commercial awareness and negotiation ability
~ Ability to understand and present technical solutions (full training provided)
~4+ years’ experience in lighting or related specification sales
~ Established network of consultants, architects, and contractors
~ Proven track record of securing specifications and delivering projects
~ Ability to manage key accounts and work autonomously
~ Experience using CRM systems
~ Full UK driving licence
