Role Overview
The Product Manager is a pivotal role, accountable for the design and delivery of innovative legal products and services that transform client experiences and drive operational efficiency. This role requires demonstrable expertise in modern product management practices, strong stakeholder engagement skills, and the ability to operate within a complex, regulated environment.
You will champion product discovery and delivery, ensuring that solutions are valuable, viable, usable, and feasible, while aligning outcomes with the firm's strategic objectives. You will work closely with senior stakeholders and cross-functional teams, including legal experts, technology, design, risk & compliance and operations, to deliver products that meet client needs and differentiate the firm in the market and support our growth agenda.
Key Responsibilities
•Product Strategy & Vision
oSupport in the definition of, own, and evolve a clear, outcome-led product vision and strategies aligned to organisational goals and constraints (as assigned).
oIdentify, prioritise, and clearly articulate the most impactful client, user, and business problems to solve.
oTranslate the product strategy into an aspirational, outcome-focused product roadmap rather than output-led plans.
oRegularly review and adapt product strategies based on learning, performance, market change, and regulatory context.
oPrimary point of contact for day-to-day product leadership across assigned products.
•Discovery & Decision Making
oLead continuous product discovery to deeply understand client problems, market trends and regulatory requirements, validate problems, test assumptions, and reduce delivery risk.
oApply qualitative and quantitative research methods including interviews, data analysis, prototyping, and experimentation.
oDefine clear hypotheses, learning goals, and success metrics for initiatives.
oApply product principles and ways of working to ensure evidence is used to guide prioritisation, trade-offs, and investment decisions.
•Delivery Enablement
oWork closely with technology, design, and business analysts to translate validated problems into delivery-ready outcomes.
oEnable efficient, iterative continuous delivery using agile practices and strong product rituals.
oBalance short-term delivery needs with longer-term strategic objectives.
oSupport safe and progressive release practices including pilots, phased rollouts, feature flags, and experimentation.
•Stakeholder Leadership & Collaboration
oBe a "Product Operating Model" evangelist, educating stakeholders and teams on the principles and value of the product operating model and ways of working
oBuild strong, trusted relationships with senior stakeholders and cross-functional partners.
oAct as the primary point of product leadership for assigned product areas.
oFacilitate stakeholder working groups to maintain alignment, transparency, and shared ownership.
oCommunicate priorities, progress, risks, and trade-offs clearly and persuasively.
•Operating Model & Capability Development
oChampion and embed the Product Operating Model across the organisation.
oEvangelise outcome-led, problem-focused ways of working and data-driven decision making.
oContribute to the evolution of product practices, tooling, and enablement (e.g. data, experimentation).
oCoach, and develop junior product colleagues, building confidence and effectiveness across the team.
oWork closely with leadership team colleagues to communicate and embed customer-led product ways of working right across the business, supporting the transition to the product model and ensuring everyone in the business understands and buys in to the change and the new ways of working.
Skills & Experience
•Essential
oProven experience as a Product Manager, ideally within regulated or professional services environments.
oStrong understanding of modern product management practices, product discovery, and outcome-led delivery.
oExpertise in product discovery techniques, including user research, prototyping, and hypothesis testing.
oExperienced in supporting and participating in agile delivery frameworks (Scrum, Kanban) and product rituals (stand-ups, retrospectives, sprint planning).
oExcellent communication, facilitation and stakeholder management skills.
•Desirable
oExperience within legal, financial, or similarly regulated sectors.
oFamiliarity with relevant regulatory and compliance considerations.
oKnowledge of design thinking, lean product, and experimentation practices.

Salary Information
The annual salary range for this role is £42,000 - £55,000.
