This role involves the running and maintaining of the sortation machine within the evening sortation operation. Leading a machine team to ensure maximum uptime and volume throughput to achieve best results in line with established KPIs. Provide leadership and guidance in support of your team. Responsibilities: Effective and efficient operation of the Sorting Machine. Preparing mail ready for delivery to Royal Mail in the correct format. Accurate reporting of counts and administration of company systems and procedures. Responsible for the Performance and Maintenance of the Sortation machine. Communicate any problems encountered during the shift to the Sortation Supervisor for immediate resolution and any appropriate actions. Complete all checks and activities which ensure a clean and safe working environment is maintained. Ensuring subordinates comply with Health and Safety best practice. Safeguard of Building and Premises at end of day. Reporting of Discrepancies to Management and actioning process improvement Personal specification: Reliability and honesty Excellent attention to detail.
