Role: Business Development Manager - Energy Transition

Location: Home based, with frequent travel within the UK to client locations and to Bureau Veritas office locations as required.

Job Purpose

Bureau Veritas is a leading provider of services in the UK Energy Transition market and on the back of successful project wins are looking for experienced professionals to join our business development team supporting our ambitious growth targets.

As a Business Development Manager you will play a major role in securing value add business opportunities from within the sector and its associated sub sectors. As part of a dynamic team, you will have a focus across CCS and renewables projects both onshore and offshore to support deliver our path for profitable growth in line with our LEAP 28 Strategy.

Key Responsibilities

1. Business development activities, identification of value-add opportunities across the Energy Transition market to build a sustainable pipeline of new business, from new and existing clients
2. Meet sales targets and develop knowledge across a range of services aligned to the different Bureau Veritas Business Units to cross sell into the marketplace.
3. Reporting to the Energy Transition Market Lead, agree, manage and deliver a “Go to Market” strategy and execute the plan by producing high-quality, innovative added-value proposals, documents, presentations, case studies and value propositions
4. Support the preparation of proposals and specifications, including technical, commercial and contractual aspects in accordance with the Bureau Veritas process
5. Ensure the CRM and forecasts are accurate and up to date
6. Build and leverage internal relationships to support the results and growth in line with client requirements
7. Represent Bureau Veritas at relevant industry events and tradeshows and act as a brand ambassador to maintain the company’s reputation
8. Comply with all Company procedures as defined in the Quality Manual, Staff Manual and Health & Safety Manual amongst others

Knowledge, Skills and Experience

9. Previous experience in a similar role within the Energy sector
10. Proven track record in selling solutions or services to a variety of industrial applications
11. Have established customer contacts at mid - senior level
12. Comfortable with working in a matrix organisation and cross selling

13. Enjoys working as part of a team along with the ability to work on your own initiative.
14. Excellent communication skills, both oral & written
15. Confident and pro-active with an organised approach to work and a hands-on attitude
16. Enthusiastic and Reliable
