These include GP Out of Hours services, Urgent Treatment Centres, and a range of other Primary Care Services including Enhanced Access (Fylde Coast) and Special Allocation Services (Lancashire / Cumbria / Parts of Cheshire and Merseyside).
Main duties For this role the GP will work within our Special Allocation Service which is a GP practice for difficult-to-diagnose patients and those with complex needs. This is a remote practice; however, face to face appointments are undertaken in the patient's community at a clinical venue or in our mobile clinical unit with a Patient Liaison Officer present based on a risk assessment of the patient’s needs. The GP would also undertake telephone/video assessments for consultations when appropriate. Appointments are made according to clinical need via Patchs and documentation is via EMIS. We are a trauma informed service, and this ethos underpins our services.
We can also offer the opportunity to learn and develop your skills through our Inclusion Health business unit. The Special Allocation Service forms part of this business unit. The successful GP will also support our homeless health nursing provision in both Blackpool and North Lancashire and Thornton House Rehab, giving the GP opportunity to undertake weekly ward rounds.
About us The ethos of FCMS as a social enterprise, health and well‑being services provider is to be passionate in its drive to ensure that patients and callers remain the central focus of all that it does.
