About the role
As a Payroll Analyst, you will be responsible for accurate payroll administration and answering payroll queries and the accurate and timely processing of all payroll credit transfer for employees in accordance with both statutory and company rules and in a way that positively impacts customers effectiveness, efficiency and confidence.

Our client is currently looking for a new recruit in joining their Governance, Research and MDS Team, please read on! You can also ask our friendly recruitment team any questions you may have about the role, between 8:30am-5:00pm Monday to Friday.
Shifts: Full time- 37.5 hours a week
The must haves:
* Solid knowledge and understanding of payroll processes particularly those relating to the BACS process and company pension schemes.
* Detailed and practical knowledge of statutory legislation pertinent to Income Tax (PAYE), National Insurance, SSP, SMP, SPP and SAP and Salary sacrifice, Benefits in Kind and Attachment of Earning Orders.
* A good understanding of external Payroll/Shared Services developments
* A good understanding of managing payroll in a diverse organisation
* Experience of providing detailed and timely pay and management information advice.
* Proven experience of managing complex, high volume pays processes in an efficient and effective manner
* Knowledge of the company pension schemes
* Understanding of interfaces between payroll and finance and pensions
* In depth knowledge of payroll processing including month end and year end activities
* Good working knowledge of process methodologies
* Able to fully utilise standard Microsoft Office products and the application of Oracle and workflow/case management, with MS Excel to intermediate level.
* A high degree of interpersonal skills is essential, in an environment where conflicting priorities can result in delays and failures, to ensure that no deadlines are missed.
