We have an exciting opportunity for a Head of Healthcare to join our Healthcare team at HMP Huntercombe, a category C Prison located in Nuffield, Oxfordshire.
HMP Huntercombe is a male foreign national prison with a capacity for 480 inmates. We are recruiting for a Head of Healthcare to support and manage a team of approximately 20. We are looking for someone with excellent people and leadership experience and able to manage financials.

Hours
Monday - Friday, 37.5 hours per week
Salary
This position is full-time, with an annual salary up to £62,900 per annum FTE, depending on experience.

Candidates are required to have a legal right to work in the UK. Due to the nature of the role, offers of employment will be subject to additional vetting and security checks.
Main duties of the job
* Provide proactive management of the healthcare services on site.
* Maintain the strategic direction of the service and deliver contractual requirements and targets from NHS England.
* Deliver a highly functional clinical service within budget, with support from the finance business partner and regional manager.
* Be part of the wider prison senior leadership team, working with other stakeholders to embed healthcare services within the prison.
* Ensure standards are achieved by leading, developing, and motivating your team, providing supervision and performance appraisals.
* Be the CQC registered manager and implement policies and procedures, especially those with statutory implications.

Qualifications and Experience
* Degree or equivalent clinical qualification
* Inclusive leadership skills promoting continuous progression and innovation
* Ability to influence and communicate effectively with stakeholders
* Experience as a CQC registered manager or equivalent
* Experience managing multifaceted budgets
