Your Role

Due to our extended service contracts with the NHS, we are committed to delivering a wide range of care for the treatment and monitoring of minor eye conditions.
A typical day will involve screening patients, coaching and training the wider team while helping to maintain standards in the department.
We provide extensive training and CPD programmes, including protected time to complete further accreditations funded by Asda, ensuring a full training package to meet evolving eye care needs.
With access to in‑store, regional and home‑office teams, you are fully supported in all aspects of your role, whether clinical or service‑based.

* Week 1: Saturday 9am‑6pm, Monday 9am‑6pm, Tuesday 9am‑6pm, Wednesday 9am‑6pm, Friday 9am‑6pm
* Week 2: Tuesday 9am‑6pm, Wednesday 9am‑6pm, Friday 9am‑6pm
About You
Working in partnership with an Optical Manager (a qualified Dispensing Optician), you will play a key part in creating an environment that blends clinical and operational excellence.
Supported by a wider department team, you will coach, train, and develop new patient services, ensuring we offer the most current and accessible services to our customers.
We expect you to:
* Be a fully qualified optometrist registered with the GOC
* Be a registered performer with your NHS area team health board MECs or WECs accredited (or willing to gain accreditation within 12 months of joining Asda – funded and supported)
* Be on track to meet statutory CPD points requirement
* Use your skills and passion to deliver a memorable customer experience
* Be passionate about developing new patient services and shaping department culture
