The NHS Highland Cardiac Physiology service is looking for an enthusiastic and dynamic Principal Cardiac Physiologist to lead and manage an experienced, dedicated team. This role is one of two lead positions with joint responsibility for the service; it is the Non‑Invasive Lead and principal specialist of the echocardiography service, with day‑to‑day operational management and oversight of other non‑invasive physiology and support services.
Responsibilities
* Lead and manage the echocardiography service and associated non‑invasive physiology teams.
* Oversee day‑to‑day operational management of the service.
* Coordinate and deliver the clinical service provision and education programme for existing and new staff.
* Shape the future of the Clinical Physiology Service in Highland.
Qualifications & Experience
* BSc in Cardiac Physiology (or equivalent qualification with suitable training and experience).
* Registration with relevant professional bodies such as the British Society of Echocardiography (or equivalent).
* Significant post‑qualification clinical echocardiography practice.
* Proven management, team leadership and service improvement experience (training and support available for suitable candidates).
