Senior Finance Business Partner – Essex – Permanent (40 hours per week) – £50,000 - £60,000 per annum – Willing to Undergo SC Clearance

Working Patterns: This is a hybrid role with 50% of time on site in Essex.
The Key Responsibilities of a Senior Finance Business Partner:
Functional Business Partnering
* Support the development of headcount, utilisation, and overhead forecasts and reports for IBP, LRP, AOP, and monthly cycles, ensuring consistency across the business.
* Monitor performance against plans and drive cost optimisation.
* Prepare for monthly SLT Rate Review Boards and maintain rate-related risk and opportunity registers.
* Track functional metrics, SLAs, and service catalogues to improve efficiency.
* Assist with business restructuring, indirect cost initiatives, and implementation of new finance systems.
Capex & Change
* Monitor capex and change spend against forecasts and analyse ROI and benefit realisation.
* Support UK forecasts for asset capitalisation and depreciation.
* Assist with monthly SLT Investment Review and AR Gate Boards, tracking progress and approvals.
* Contribute to reviews of key projects and maintain investment risk and opportunity registers.
Below is a list of Key Skills required for the Senior Finance Business Partner, however you will not be expected to have everything:
* A university degree or equivalent qualification.
* Several years of relevant experience in finance roles.
* Strong attention to detail with the ability to interpret data and communicate key insights clearly.
* Skilled at managing multiple tasks and issues simultaneously, using information from various sources while working under pressure; able to prioritise effectively with an agile approach.
* Proven ability to collaborate successfully within teams.
* Excellent communication and networking skills, with a strong curiosity about the business and the ability to provide insightful, actionable analysis and fresh perspectives.
* Capable of supporting issue resolution and delivering practical, effective outcomes.
* Strong analytical and strategic thinking abilities.
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to simplify financial information for non-financial audiences.
* Proficient in systems such as SAP and Microsoft Office.
* Some experience in influencing decisions and outcomes.
* Proactive, solutions-focused, and able to identify innovative ways to add value to the business.
* Experience working within a matrix organisation.
