Tax Advisor – Private Client Services – Advisory
The EY Private Client Services team in Belfast acts for and advises an extensive range of high net‑worth individuals, entrepreneurs, private equity principals, high profile professional partnerships and their senior executives and onshore and offshore trust structures. Services delivered include:
* Personal tax transaction and reorganisation advice
* Residency advice for those leaving or coming to the UK
* Optimization of wealth from a tax perspective
* Estate and succession tax advice
Our client base is predominantly Northern Irish business owners, high net‑worth individuals and entrepreneurs and their families, but extends to clients based in mainland UK and others with UK tax implications. We act for a mix of UK and non‑UK domiciled individuals and undertake cross‑border tax advice.

Your Key Responsibilities
* Work with a team on the efficient management and delivery of a portfolio of private client tax advisory projects
* Assist the senior team to ensure delivery of tax advisory projects with technical excellence and business‑driven approach
* Build and foster relationships with clients and colleagues, providing excellent client service and managing expectations
* Provide development support to junior members through effective supervision, coaching and mentoring
Skills & Attributes for Success
* Personal advisory tax experience and strong tax technical skills, keen to develop advisory skill set further
* Ability to plan and prioritise work, meet deadlines, monitor own budgets and fees
* Ability to integrate quickly with new teams and build relationships at all levels
* Confident communicator with good relationship skills and ability to manage client expectations
* Client focused and commercially aware
* Excellent communicator in a range of situations, both written and oral
* Ability to identify areas of risk and know when to refer upwards
Qualifications
* CTA part‑qualified and ATT qualified with relevant personal tax advisory experience
* ACA/CA/ACCA qualified with relevant personal tax advisory experience
* ATT qualified with a minimum of two years’ post‑qualified relevant personal tax advisory experience
