Interim Opportunity | Senior Legal Counsel (12-Month FTC / Maternity Cover), London
We’re currently working on a senior interim opportunity for an experienced commercial lawyer to join a well-established business operating in the infrastructure / engineering space.
This is a 12-month maternity cover role with real breadth and visibility — ideal for someone who enjoys operating close to the business and leading on strategic, project-driven work.
The role:
* Lead legal support on key strategic projects
* Advise on a wide range of commercial, engineering, construction and procurement matters
* Work closely with internal stakeholders across the business
* Handle insurance-related issues
* Manage disputes (not a pure disputes role)
What we’re looking for:
* 8+ PQE commercial lawyer
* Strong background in engineering / construction / infrastructure environments
* Experience with engineering and maintenance contracts
* Proven in-house experience (essential)
* Comfortable working autonomously and hitting the ground running
* Commercial, pragmatic and able to deliver clear, business-focused advice
