We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Senior/Principal Engineer with experience in airfields design to join our Transport Mobility Solutions (TMS) Division. You will work as part of a team delivering design solutions from concepts through to construction details, using the latest digital design delivery methods. The role focuses on airfield design projects but may involve roads and other transport projects as required.
What you'll do
* Design solutions while ensuring accuracy and compliance with industry standards and client specifications
* Collaborate with Design Managers to create detailed 3D models for airfield, road, and other transport projects
* Develop and maintain 3D models using Autodesk Civil 3D
* Produce detailed drawings and documentation for construction and design purposes
* Perform quality checks on models to ensure adherence to project requirements
* Engage with specialists from various engineering disciplines, authorities, and stakeholders to interpret data and develop innovative solutions
Candidate specification
* Strong knowledge of airfield geometric design standards, including RA 3500 series (DIO) and ICAO Annex 14
* Proven experience as a Civil 3D Modeller, preferably in airfield design projects
* Proficiency in Autodesk Civil 3D and other relevant software (AutoCAD, Revit)
* Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Desirable
* Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or related field or equivalent experience
* Experience as a Civil 3D Modeller, preferably in airfield projects
* Experience with Civil 3D and related software
