About the Role
We are recruiting a Specialty Doctor in General Adult Psychiatry to support a clients growing Community ADHD Service.
Working alongside an experienced consultant specialist team, the successful candidate will play a key role in the assessment, monitoring, and ongoing management of patients with ADHD and other neurodevelopmental disorders within a community-based service.
This is an excellent opportunity for a doctor with an interest in neurodevelopmental psychiatry looking to further develop specialist expertise within a supportive multidisciplinary environment.
Key Responsibilities
* Conduct ADHD and neurodevelopmental assessments, reviews, and follow-up clinics
* Support medication titration, monitoring, and prescribing management
* Review investigation results including ECGs and blood tests
* Provide clinical advice and support via the ADHD telephone query service
* Work collaboratively with GPs, specialist nurses, and wider MDT teams
* Support clinical governance, audit, and service development activities
* Maintain accurate clinical documentation using SystmOne and associated systems
* Contribute to education and support for patients, carers, and healthcare professionals
What We’re Looking For
Essential
* Minimum 2 years’ psychiatry experience
* Strong general adult psychiatry knowledge
* Interest in ADHD and neurodevelopmental disorders
* Excellent communication and multidisciplinary working skills
* Ability to work independently and flexibly across services
* Computer literacy and understanding of clinical systems
Desirable
* Previous ADHD or neurodevelopmental service experience
* Experience delivering education or training
* Experience within community mental health services
* Full UK driving licence
