Kick‑start your engineering career by helping to keep the UK’s nuclear operations safe. Join a two‑year graduate scheme where you’ll work on real engineering challenges that protect people, the environment, and national security.

This is a chance to develop deep technical skills across nuclear safety, radiation protection, hazard management, and operations within a highly regulated industrial environment.


Key Criteria

* Studying or achieved a 2:2+ in a STEM degree
* Ability to work on‑site in Plymouth multiple days per week
* Willing to rotate across teams and adapt to new challenges
* Right to work and meet national security requirements
* Interest in regulated engineering environments and safety‑critical work


What you’ll do

You will support the safe operation, maintenance, and development of nuclear and radiological facilities. Your work may include:

* Reviewing engineering designs for nuclear safety compliance
* Developing safety cases and supporting regulatory submissions
* Conducting hazard analyses and risk assessments
* Modelling scenarios and improving safety performance
* Creating technical reports and presenting findings to stakeholders

Every rotation gives you exposure to different teams so you can discover your strengths and the career path that suits you best.

* Two‑year scheme with tailored development
* 18 months of rotations across nuclear and operations engineering teams
* Final 6‑month focused placement with growing responsibility
* Training from nuclear safety specialists, operations leaders, and radiation protection experts
* Professional development fully supported toward becoming a Chartered Engineer

Who we’re looking for

* A degree in a STEM discipline (Engineering, Physics, Maths or related field)

* Communication and teamwork skills
* Eligibility for UK Security Clearance (including BPSS, SC and NNPPI)
