About the Role
The Facilities Coordinator will support the effective delivery of Facilities Management Services to a key strategic client based at a static site in Cheadle, UK. Join Macro, a global specialist in facilities management, to contribute to an organisation that prioritises innovation and technology.
Main Responsibilities
* Deliver highly professional, customer‑focused service and support the management team in operational activities and opportunity development.
* Manage building operations and maintenance requirements at the client site and liaise with clients, suppliers, and internal staff.
* Ensure service level agreements are met through daily communication with stakeholders and the client.
* Promote a safety‑first culture, prioritise health, safety and wellbeing, and manage all logged and requested tasks via the Macro FM24 Helpdesk.
* Conduct scheduled preventive maintenance, oversee daily maintenance and compliance tasks, deliver reports, audits and compliance documentation, and support office moves, minor projects and ad‑hoc tasks.
* Select and manage suppliers in collaboration with the procurement team, oversee the full P2P process, manage supplier commissioning and permitting, and conduct contractual, compliance and technical audits of supplier services.
* Ensure the facility’s full operational readiness through maintenance, repairs, and asset register management, and assist with Capex planning for FM related assets.
* Support investigations into near misses, accidents and incidents, implement health and safety standards through site inspections and supplier risk assessments, and conduct internal QHSEW inspections.
* Coordinate access control systems, manage security vendors and coordinate security operations.
* Record and address client improvement suggestions, maintain high levels of customer satisfaction through proactive service, and brief and meet with stakeholders as required.
* Lead the on‑site Macro team, conduct meetings, set objectives, perform performance reviews, support training needs and promote team wellbeing.
* Represent Macro professionally on site, build strong client relationships, ensure compliance with PPM, RA and legislative requirements, and identify opportunities to improve processes, service levels and standards.
* Draft and manage internal communications related to facility coordination and revisions, report effectively on services and tasks to the client, and share ideas for process improvement constructively.
* Support minor project implementation, including relocations, ensure timely completion of FM related projects, encourage innovation and continuous improvement, and assist with CAPEX project planning and execution.
* Understand contract and financial mechanisms, support savings strategies, achieve budget and forecast targets, track cost savings and avoidance initiatives, assist with project invoicing and aged debt payments, and monitor budget and actual spend.
Qualifications & Skills
* Ability to work under pressure and proactive approach.
* Knowledge of property and business compliance and experience in a similar role.
* Customer‑focused approach, excellent relationship building skills and strong people management skills.
* Flexibility and a strong team spirit, effective planning abilities and experience managing multiple tasks and requirements.
* Trustworthiness, accountability for deliverables and attention to detail.
* Relevant experience in the field, good working knowledge of building management or a commercial fast‑paced environment.
* Commercial competence and relevant qualifications in a related industry, and a professional qualification in an associated field.
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office and experience in contract management.
* Fluency in spoken and written English.
Preferred Qualifications
* Previous experience as a member of the Facilities team in a corporate environment.
* Basic Health and Safety qualifications, including knowledge of RAMS, Permit to Work and compliance paperwork.
Additional Advantages

* Occupational Safety & Health (OSH) qualification such as IOSH or NEBOSH.
* Technical skills in FM.
