Overview

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Area Manager to oversee operations across our stores in East London and Essex.

This is an exciting opportunity for a motivated leader to drive performance, support store teams, and contribute to the continued success of a fast-growing and award-winning organisation.

A generous company bonus scheme is included as part of this role.

Previous experience within the Pawnbroking Industry would be advantageous.

Key Responsibilities

* Lead and support store teams across multiple locations, ensuring exceptional performance, customer service, and compliance.
* Develop and implement operational strategies to achieve business goals and enhance service delivery.
* Monitor and analyse key performance indicators (KPIs) to ensure continuous improvement.
* Foster a positive and engaging work environment — motivating, coaching, and developing staff at all levels.
* Ensure full compliance with company policies, FCA regulations, and health & safety standards.
* Manage budgets, resources, and schedules effectively to maximise efficiency and control costs.
* Identify opportunities for growth, expansion, and operational improvements within the area.

Requirements

* Proven experience in managing and leading multi-site or large team operations.
* Demonstrable leadership skills with the ability to inspire, motivate, and develop others.
* Excellent organisational and time management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build effective working relationships.
* Solid understanding of operational processes within a retail, financial, or service-based environment.
* Proactive, results-driven approach to problem-solving and decision-making.
* Relevant management qualifications or equivalent experience are desirable.
