If you would like to apply for this temporary post as a secondment, you must have the prior approval of your current Line Manager and Head of Department. Please ensure you have completed the ‘Police Staff Internal Secondment Declaration’ and forwarded it as instructed to obtain their sign-off. This step must be completed so the form is submitted as part of the application process, prior to the vacancy’s closing date. Your declaration form should be uploaded alongside your application form. Note that completion of this declaration is required whether or not your application is supported. Lack of managerial support will not prohibit you from applying, but it may have implications on your employee status. Consider this fully. Such applications will be treated on a case-by-case basis following consultation with the Head of HR & OD, as per the Secondment guidance.
Are you a strong communicator with the drive and enthusiasm to support new recruits through their initial training with Hampshire and Isle of Wight Constabulary?
We are seeking trainers to support new PCSO's and PC's during their initial 12 or 18-week training course. You will deliver the course covering introduction to the profession, legislation, powers, policies, and skills necessary for safe and lawful practice. You will also provide educational and emotional support to a designated group of students throughout their training.
Knowledge of the police service is useful but not essential; we value a passion for developing people.

Essential Qualifications
* Educated to QCF Level 3 with Maths & English at QCF Level 2
* Possess a nationally recognized learning and development qualification, e.g., Certificate in Training Practice, Level 3 Learning and Development (QCF 30 Credits minimum), or equivalent work experience deemed comparable
* HSE First Aid at Work qualification
* Ability to demonstrate current competence in the subject matter
* Sound knowledge of law, policy, and practice in anti-discrimination (e.g., Equality Act 2010)
