Quantity Surveying Degree Apprenticeship Programme
Murphy are recruiting apprentice Quantity Surveyors with strong aspirations to build a career within the civil engineering and construction sector. With positions based in various locations across the UK, we are looking for highly driven individuals with a keen eye for detail and willingness to learn and develop in a fast-paced environment.
Your degree apprenticeship offers you the chance to secure a university degree debt-free while gaining on-the-job experience. Tuition fees for the degree will be paid for by Murphy and you’ll earn a competitive apprenticeship salary.
In this role you will learn how to manage all costs relating to construction and civil engineering projects, from initial calculations to final figures. You will learn how to optimise project costs and enhance value for money while meeting required standards and quality. Responsibilities will increase as your skills develop. You will be supported by a workplace mentor and your university tutor to gain the right mix of skills and experience to complete the apprenticeship.
What qualification will I receive through the apprenticeship?
As part of this apprenticeship, you will follow the Chartered Surveyor Degree Level 6 apprenticeship standard (5.5 years to complete with one of our partner universities). Apprentices will be required to complete a Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (RICS) accredited BSc/BSc(Honours).
Where will I be based on the apprenticeship?
We are recruiting across various projects in the UK. Some sites may be remote, and applicants must be willing to travel as required. A full clean UK driving licence may be required.
What do I need to be considered for the apprenticeship?
* GCSE Maths and English at grade A*-C / 4-9 (or equivalent)
You must also have attained or be on track to attain by September 25, 96 UCAS tariff points or equivalent from one of the following:
* 3 A Levels grade A*-C
* BTEC Diploma or BTEC Extended Diploma
* Level 3 advanced apprenticeship
* T Level Design, Surveying and Planning for Construction
* You don’t need previous experience, but you need to be ready to learn, have a positive mindset and a can-do attitude
* Eligible to work in the UK with a valid work permit if applicable. Please note, we do not provide sponsorship
