You will support client pursuits and business development, establishing strong relationships with new Investor clients to win and grow revenue & margin. This role requires a strong understanding of client needs, market trends, and industry developments to provide strategic advice and solutions that meet or exceed client expectations. The role also requires an understanding of fund and portfolio structures within RE investment firms and practical experience in ESG data management, regulatory requirements (SFDR, EU Taxonomy etc), industry benchmarks (GRESB, INREV, EPRA, CDP, TCFD etc.), GHG emission accounting frameworks and portfolio-level decarbonization strategy. You will report into the Sustainability Practice Lead, UK and work closely with the Strategic Sustainability and Accounts Management team. In the role you will Client Solutions: Develop client solutions to win new core clients and strategic projects. Work with account teams to support growth and retention planning for core strategic clients. Work with the Global Sustainability team to identify opportunities and secure pan-regional mandates. Client Relationships: Build strong relationships with potential clients to cultivate opportunities for future business. Develop plans to prioritise client pursuits. Business Development: Identify new business opportunities with clients and develop strategies to expand existing client relationships. Collaborate with internal teams to deliver solutions that meet client need Commercial Outcomes: Develop propositions that ensure service excellence for clients and profitability for the business. Be responsible for meeting the agreed annual goals around revenue generation. Proactively report on progress, risks and opportunities with your leader. Communication and Marketing: Externally represent CBRE sustainability and build market presence in areas of expertise. Communicate effectively with your clients to understand their needs and concerns Sector Knowledge and Insights: Stay up-to-date on industry trends, market developments, and competitor activity within your sectors. Person Specification/Requirements A natural collaborator, able to foster and maintain relationships across teams and geographies. Strong experience in leading investor client solutions in a large business setting. Able to identify problems and issues and address these with clients or teams in a simple and diagnostic way while delivering the best outcomes for the client and CBRE. Able to communicate concisely, clearly and articulately; and demonstrates natural ability to adapt their style to the audience. Able to manage client and stakeholders expectations and be proactive and positive in their outlook and find solutions to problems as they arise. Is action focused and practical in their approach for themselves and others.-Demonstrates and adopts a commercial / business approach in delivering financial outcomes and able to translate this into practice in how they oversee colleagues and the work they undertake for clients. EDUCATION and EXPERIENCE Bachelor's degree (BA/BS) from four-year college or university. Masters degree or MBA preferred. Five or more years of related experience. Previous experience in selling operating leases and service agreements that incorporate expenditures normally treated by end user customers as capital expenditures. Previous experience working with Customer Relations Management (CRM) software. Must be familiar with customer capital budgeting tools, techniques and processes including discounted cash flow analyses. Must be familiar with capital leases, operating leases and service agreements as well as FASB related definitions and bulletins related to these various arrangements. REASONING ABILITY Must be familiar with creative financial arrangements typical of energy efficiency and renewable energy retrofit arrangements such as shared savings, pay from savings and power purchase arrangements. Ability to comprehend, analyze, and interpret complex documents. Ability to solve problems involving several options in situations. Requires advanced analytical and quantitative skills. Should be familiar with sale and leaseback arrangements especially as used to stimulate growth of the types of service based arrangements referred to above.
