About the Opportunity Wintech is looking for an experienced, hands-on IT Support Technician to join our small IT team and support our building engineering consultancy operations. You'll be the escalation point for complex technical issues, help maintain our hybrid infrastructure (on-prem and Azure/M365), and strengthen the team through documentation and knowledge sharing. This role requires strong Windows, networking, communication, and security skills. You'll report to the Head of IT and balance day-to-day operational support with longer-term platform improvements. Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities Act as escalation point for L2/L3 incidents; resolve issues and liaise with vendors/MSPs as required. Support administration of Azure & SharePoint environments alongside the Head of IT and internal developer. Diagnose, maintain, and optimise on‑prem and cloud infrastructure (networking, servers, virtualisation, backups, DR). Support security tasks aligned with Cyber Essentials; help with vulnerability remediation and hardening. Create and maintain runbooks, KB articles and system documentation. Support creation and maintenance of automation/scripts (PowerShell, Bash or similar). Share knowledge with colleagues; help run occasional training sessions and handovers. Provide occasional hands‑on site support for hardware incidents and planned works.
