Clinical Nurse Educator - Community role at Northern Sydney Local Health District (NSLHD). Two Permanent Part Time positions available. Remuneration: $55.32 - $57.11 per hour. Hours per week: up to 38. Requisition ID: REQ612484. Based at the Mona Vale and Brookvale Centres of Northern Sydney Home Nursing Service (NSHNS).
What You'll Be Doing
As a Clinical Nurse Educator, you will provide clinical leadership, education, training and inspiration in the clinical development of current and new nurses within NSHNS. You will support educational and professional development to promote safe, high-quality care. The role supports innovative learning and development approaches to enhance nursing teams and effective delivery of care across home visiting and clinic environments. NSHNS is a generalist Community Nursing Service providing a range of care including assessments, referrals, medication administration, wound management, palliative and end-of-life care, catheter care, continence management and more.
Responsibilities
* Provide clinical leadership and education to Community Nursing staff within NSHNS.
* Develop and implement education programs and professional development for current and new nurses.
* Promote evidence-based practice, quality improvement, and risk management in clinical settings.
* Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure safe, high-level care for patients in community and clinic environments.
Qualifications
* Holds AHPRA Registration as a Registered Nurse (RN).
* Holds relevant post-registration clinical or education qualifications or equivalent clinical experience as deemed appropriate by the employer.
* Current NSW Drivers Licence.
* Demonstrated effective written and verbal communication skills; ability to work independently and as part of a team.
* Demonstrated ability to practice safe nursing care in line with policies and clinical practice guidelines; commitment to evidence-based practice, continuous quality improvement and risk management.
