As a Healthcare Assistant, you’ll be the friendly face and helping hand that makes a real difference in someone’s day. From assisting with daily routines to offering emotional support, your work will directly improve the quality of life for our clients across Hertfordshire. You won’t just be providing care—you’ll be enabling independence, dignity, and joy.
What You'll Do
* Provide personal care and support tailored to each client’s needs, including assistance with washing, dressing, and mobility.
* Support with household tasks such as meal preparation, light cleaning, and shopping.
* Offer companionship and emotional support, building meaningful relationships with clients and their families.
* Assist with medication prompts and health-related tasks in line with training and care plans.
* Drive to and from client visits across Hertfordshire, ensuring punctuality and reliability.
* Maintain accurate care records and communicate effectively with the care team.
What You'll Bring
* Full UK driving licence and access to your own vehicle (essential).
* Previous experience in a care or support role, ideally within homecare.
* In-date mandatory care training (e.g., Moving & Handling, First Aid, Medication Awareness).
* Valid enhanced DBS check (or willingness to obtain one).
* Right to work in the UK (essential).
* A compassionate, patient, and respectful approach to care.
* Strong communication skills and the ability to work independently.
