As Community Engagement Co-ordinator, you’ll develop and deliver our community engagement priorities across the North & West Lake District Landscapes Portfolio. You’ll work collaboratively with colleagues, partners and communities to ensure our work is shaped by local voices and delivers meaningful public benefit. What it's like to work here The North & West Lake District Landscapes Portfolio is a large countryside portfolio covering six valleys of the Lake District National Park, Wordsworth House & Garden in Cockermouth, and coastal land in the heart of Whitehaven. What you'll be doing You’ll take a people-first approach, putting the needs and voices of communities at the heart of our plans. You’ll build trusted relationships, develop partnerships, and support colleagues to work more collaboratively with communities. You’ll champion inclusive engagement, remove barriers to access, and test new approaches to participation. Your work will help shape how the National Trust delivers public benefit and inspires civic action. Working across the North & West Lake District Landscapes area, you'll help deliver different approaches to community dependent on their ambitions and needs. You will need to have strong organisational skills to prioritise and deliver work across a geographically spread area, and a positive and open communication style to engage and work with a broad range of people - community members, partners, NT colleagues and volunteers.
