Head of Finance & College Accountant (Cambridge)
You will lead a high-performing finance function and provide a full range of financial services across the organisation. Reporting into the Senior Bursar, you'll take a senior leadership role, overseeing statutory and management accounting, strengthening financial controls and systems, and supporting longer-term financial strategy. You'll also manage and develop a finance team of eight and work closely with budget holders across the organisation.
Key responsibilities
* Lead the finance team and day-to-day finance operations
* Deliver statutory accounts, management accounts and high-quality financial reporting
* Own financial planning, budgeting and forecasting
* Ensure effective controls, processes and compliance
* Partner with stakeholders to improve financial insight and decision-making.
Qualifications
Hold a recognised accountancy qualification ACA/ACCA/CIMA or equivalent, Strong experience producing statutory accounts, charity/not-for-profit experience preferred, exposure to subsidiary statutory accounts, advanced Excel skills and proven people management experience and strong stakeholder communication.
