About the Role
We are looking for a proactive and experienced Electronic Engineer to join our innovative engineering team in Dorset. This role focuses on PCB layout, circuit design, and diagnostic problem solving across a range of electronic systems. You’ll be involved from concept through to validation, working in a collaborative, fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities
* Design and develop analogue and digital circuits to meet performance and project requirements.
* Create schematic diagrams and PCB layouts using KiCAD, ensuring compliance with industry standards and manufacturability.
* Prototype, assemble, and test PCBs, performing functional verification, debugging, and fault diagnosis.
* Validate designs through simulation and bench testing.
* Collaborate with firmware and mechanical engineers to integrate electronics into final products.
* Document design processes, test results, and revisions for traceability.
* Support product and process improvements.
Requirements
* Bachelor’s degree in Electrical or Electronic Engineering (or related field).
* Minimum 5 years of hands-on experience in analogue and digital circuit design.
* Proficiency in KiCAD for full PCB design workflow (schematic capture to Gerber generation).
* Strong understanding of PCB fabrication, assembly techniques, and testing methodologies (oscilloscopes, mustimeters, signal analysers).
* Familiarity with LTSpice or similar simulation tools and version control systems.
* Excellent problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and ability to work independently.
