Automation and Robotics: East Midlands base (commutable from Coventry, Nottingham and Leicester)
Salary: cGBP45k+ depending on experience + benefits
Our client designs, develops and manufactures bespoke special purpose automation and robotic systems for a diverse range of industry sectors and is regarded as one of the leading automation system solution providers in the UK.
They are seeking to recruit an experienced and highly self-motivated Account Manager : Technical Sales to complement the established sales team and maximise opportunities with existing and new clients (an anticipated 80:20 split with a bias towards existing account management) through the provision of automation and robotic solution sales.
As an Account Manager : Technical Sales in an Automation and Robotics Sales environment, you will liaise with internal and external customers to develop and grow a realistic pipeline from primarily existing clients as well as new clients that will benefit from the portfolio of solutions, handling enquiries quickly and accurately to ensure project success and delivering your individual sales target.
Responsibilities
* Attending Customer sites to nurture relationships and understand their current and future requirements, identifying and recommending enhancements, modifications or upgrades that will benefit their business and prove commercially advantageous to all.
* Creating and maintaining Sales Analysis Sheets for each enquiry received
* Reporting enquiry results in the weekly Sales Meeting and providing visibility of future enquiries and potential market demands or competitor developments.
* Creating financially viable and commercially beneficial quotations for enquiries and reviewing internally prior to sending out to the Customer
* Understanding the budgetary and timescale requirements for the enquiry
* Regular communication with the Customer throughout the life of enquiry
* Setting up Sales Handover meetings to transfer details of the order over to the technical team and supporting the project team and the Customer throughout the project life cycle when required.
Qualifications and Experience
* Sales and account management experience gained through working with automation systems, ideally within the automotive sector
* Qualified to at least HND level or above in a relevant engineering or business-related discipline
* Live within a commutable radius of Leicester, Coventry or Nottingham
* Self-motivated and organized with high commercial acumen
* Excellent communication skills at all levels; flexible to travel within the UK and overseas as required
