This is a superb opportunity for an experienced and commercially focused Finance Director—or a high-performing Financial Controller ready to step up—to take a pivotal leadership role within a thriving manufacturing organisation. The business is experiencing impressive growth, and this role will be central to shaping its financial future.
You’ll combine strategic capability with a hands-on approach, working closely with the Board, executive team, and operational leaders to drive performance, strengthen controls, and optimise profitability.
Key Responsibilities
* Develop and deliver a financial strategy that supports sustainable growth.
* Lead financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, and performance reporting.
* Advise the Board and senior leadership on risks, opportunities, and long-term planning.
* Oversee governance, financial controls, and compliance across the business.
* Manage and mentor the finance team, building capability and ensuring high performance.
* Partner with operational teams to maximise margins, efficiency, and overall profitability.
* Lead investment appraisals, funding strategies, and major commercial initiatives.
* Ensure timely, accurate, and insightful financial reporting for internal and external stakeholders.
Requirements
* ACA/ACCA/CIMA qualified (ideally being trained by a “Top 4” practice).
* Proven experience as a Finance Director, or a high-achieving FC ready for progression.
* Strong background in food manufacturing, supply chain, or other operationally intensive sectors.
* Excellent strategic thinking combined with practical operational understanding.
* Outstanding communication skills and strong commercial judgement.

* £90,000 - £110,000 base plus executive package.
