Supply Desk is pleased to be partnering with a well-regarded primary school in Bushey, recognised for its warm, inclusive community and supportive staff team. We are seeking a dedicated and caring Teaching Assistant to join the school on a full-time, long-term basis, starting straight away.
Role Overview
As a Teaching Assistant, you will work closely with class teachers to support pupils’ learning, confidence, and personal development. You will play a key role in helping children build essential skills, develop independence, and thrive academically and emotionally.
Key Responsibilities
Provide tailored 1:1 and small-group support
Assist with classroom organisation and promote positive behaviour
Adapt resources and activities to support diverse learning needs
Support teachers during lessons and classroom activities
Build strong, trusting relationships with pupils and staff
Help maintain a calm, inclusive, and engaging learning environment
Monitor and report on pupil progress and wellbeing
Ideal Candidate
Experience working with children or young people in a school or similar setting
Patient, empathetic, proactive, and supportive approach
Confident in behaviour management and classroom routines
Strong communication and teamwork skills
Understanding of inclusive practices and safeguarding standards
Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply)
