The Elms Surgery Watford are seeking a regular Locum Practice Nurse to cover holidays and sickness cover from July 2026 onwards. From 1-3 days a week, days to suit candidate. The ideal candidate will provide high-quality patient care and support in a GP practice setting.
Main duties of the job
* Smears
* Travel immunisations
* Chronic disease clinics (Asthma, Diabetes)
* Ordering vaccine on Immform
* Maintain accurate patient records and ensure confidentiality
* Collaborate with the healthcare team to deliver comprehensive patient care

Our EMIS practice serves 9500 patients in Central Watford, supported by a multidisciplinary team including 3 GPs, 4 Physician Associates, a Practice Nurse, an HCA, a social prescriber, care coordinators, and a fully staffed admin and reception team.
Job responsibilities
* Qualified Nurse with current registration with the Nursing and Midwifery Council (NMC)
* EMIS trained
* Strong patient care skills with a compassionate and empathetic approach
Qualifications
* GP Practice Nurse
* Qualified Nurse with current registration with the Nursing and Midwifery Council (NMC)
Experience
* Experiences in NHS General Practice.
