Overview
We are looking for an experienced flooring manager to join one of our top facilities management clients in the Cramlington location. The role combines technical expertise, leadership, sales, project management, and team building, and requires strong communication, organization, and problem‑solving skills. The company advantage is that the in‑house flooring division is integrated with a larger construction division, offering a cohesive and streamlined service to clients.
Responsibilities
* Leadership and team building: Lead and support a team of flooring professionals, ensuring tasks are completed correctly and efficiently.
* Technical and project management: Surveying, estimating, contract management, and a strong knowledge of flooring materials, installation techniques, and trends.
* Sales and customer relations: Involve sales and project delivery, and build strong relationships with clients through excellent communication and a customer‑focused approach.
* Safety and compliance: Maintain a high level of compliance awareness; qualifications such as an enhanced DBS check and SMSTS certification may be required.
Qualifications and requirements
* Experience in leadership and team management within flooring or related construction services.
* Strong technical and project management capabilities, including surveying, estimating, and contract management.
* Sales and customer relations skills with a customer‑focused approach.
* Safety and compliance awareness; may require enhanced DBS check and SMSTS certification.
* Candidates must be eligible to live and work in the UK.
