We're partnering with a well-established business in the construction industry that's looking for a proactive and commercially minded Finance Manager to join their team.

The Role
As Finance Manager, you'll oversee the day-to-day financial operations, ensuring strong financial control and visibility across the business. You'll be responsible for management reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and cash management, while also playing a key role in supporting strategic decisions at leadership level.
Key responsibilities include:
* Producing accurate monthly management accounts with insightful analysis and commentary.
* Managing all aspects of financial reporting, including P&L, balance sheet, and cash flow.
* Overseeing budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis to drive commercial performance.
* Ensuring compliance with all financial and tax regulations.
* Managing cash flow, working capital, and relationships with banks and external auditors.
* Leading and mentoring junior finance staff (where applicable).
About You
We're looking for a Finance professional who's confident managing a full finance function in an SME environment, ideally with experience in the construction or related sectors.
You'll bring:
* 3-5 years' experience in a similar role within an SME.
* Solid understanding of management accounting, financial controls, and reporting.
* Proficiency in Xero and advanced Excel skills.
* Strong commercial acumen with a focus on cost control and profitability.
* Excellent communication skills and a proactive, hands-on approach.
