We have an exciting opportunity for a enthusiastic and committed band 3 clinical Support Worker to join our dynamic team within CNTW Psychiatric Liaison Team based at Northumbria Specialist Emergency Care Hospital.
This permanent position is suited to someone with a background in the care of service users with a wide range of mental health diagnoses who are keen to work in a busy and supportive environment, with a good working knowledge of RIO.
The successful candidate will be joining a team with well‑established links with the acute trusts and the community and will be expected to contribute to the ongoing development of the service.
The successful candidate will be expected to work 8:00 am until 18:00 pm, including rostered weekends and bank holidays. The service operates 24/7 and the expectation is that the successful person will work shifts, bank holidays and night shifts.
The role is predominantly office‑based duties that support our band 6 clinicians, however there are opportunities to have clinical contact with patients receiving care and treatment from the psychiatric liaison team, such as reviews and attending reviews with band 6 clinical staff.
We have a fantastic Clinical Reference Group for all CNTW Liaison Teams with bi‑weekly teaching, a dedicated consultant psychiatrist for the adult pathway, a nurse consultant, psychologist, pharmacist and clinical leadership team.
* Answering and responding to phone calls such as telephone referrals, supporting clinical caseload by adding referrals, clinical appointments, where clinical advice is required work with the qualified staff.
* Manage phone calls whereby clinical advice is not required.
* PLT work within national waiting times and require all referral information received to be added to RIO via a referral proforma and correct waiting time identified from the referral source.
* Support liaison data by collecting data.
* Manage the PLT clinic diary adding appointments for pending assessments and reviews.
* Add tasks to team clinic diary on behalf of B6 assessors.
* Add appointments to individual RIO diaries as requested by clinical staff.
* Add planned follow‑up appointments to planned clinic on RIO and alert service user of appointment date and time where required.
* Contribute to patient and carer feedback by supporting people who access our service to have an opportunity to give feedback via the Your Voice system, either face‑to‑face or by phone contact.
* Input information to the Your Voice system and contribute to the "YOU said WE did" poster.
