GSL Education are currently seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Primary Teaching Assistant to join a supportive school in Sheffield. This role starting in September 2025 is ideal for someone passionate about early education and committed to creating a positive and inclusive classroom environment.
As a Primary TA, your responsibilities will include:
Supporting pupils across EYFS, Key Stages with their academic, emotional, and social development.
Assisting the class teacher in lesson delivery and behaviour management.
Providing one-to-one or small group interventions to help boost progress.
Creating engaging learning resources and supporting class activities.
Promoting a safe, caring, and stimulating learning environment for all pupils.
Working with students of varying abilities, including those with SEN or EAL needs.
Skills & Requirements for Primary TA:
Experience working in a primary school or with children in an educational setting.
A patient, friendly, and flexible approach to supporting learning.
Understanding of safeguarding and child protection procedures.
Strong communication and collaboration skills.
A relevant qualification (e.g. Level 2 or 3 TA) is desirable but not essential.
An enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply).
A CV covering the last 10 years with any gaps clearly explained.
