About the role
As a Senior Support Worker, you will be part of the care team, recognising and facilitating the daily needs of residents, conducting formal supervisions and appraisals, and contributing to care planning and coaching support workers. The role focuses on maintaining residents' personal care needs, respecting their dignity, and promoting independence.
Kingsley Specialist Services supports people with learning disabilities and complex needs, including those who benefit from a peaceful living environment.
We deliver care based on the positive behaviour support (PBS) model, emphasizing person-centred care, choice, independence, participation, and inclusion. All support is aimed at empowering individuals to live meaningful, happy lives in adaptable environments.
We strive to understand residents' communication and respond proactively to meet their needs, offering alternatives to reduce distress or concerning behaviours. You will role model this approach and support staff in applying PBS to those with learning disabilities and complex needs.
