About the Role
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a skilled Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer to join a busy manufacturing operation. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining and repairing production equipment, ensuring maximum uptime, and supporting continuous improvement initiatives across the site.
Key Responsibilities
* Maintain, repair, and troubleshoot production and process manufacturing equipment.
* Carry out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) activities.
* Respond to maintenance requests and prioritise workload effectively.
* Support production by minimising downtime and maximising equipment performance.
* Participate in an on-call rota as required.
* Complete engineering projects assigned by management.
* Work closely with suppliers to improve service levels and reduce costs.
* Maintain high standards of housekeeping and workplace safety.
* Ensure compliance with quality, health & safety, and site procedures.
About You
* Qualified Mechanical or Electrical Engineer (HNC/HND, Time-Served Apprenticeship, or equivalent).
* Experience within manufacturing, engineering, FMCG, GMP, or similar high-volume production environments.
* Strong fault-finding and diagnostic skills.
* Knowledge of PLCs, inverters, electrical controls, and pneumatic systems.
* Experience using CMMS or electronic maintenance management systems is advantageous.
* Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
* Flexible approach to working hours and shift patterns.
* Strong communication skills and commitment to safe working practices.
* Full UK driving licence.
Desirable Experience
* Multi-skilled engineering background.
* Experience working on COMAH-regulated sites.
* Previous experience in continuous-process manufacturing environments.
* Minimum 3 years' relevant engineering experience.
