What we're looking for...
As a Finance Business Partner in our Sales division, you will provide excellent finance management and partnership to business leaders and sales teams to drive performance in an FMCG environment. You will support and challenge the team, working closely to maximize ROI on customer joint business plans, trade terms, and promotions, including ownership of the Commercial P&L (~£100m).
Your responsibilities will include...
Business Partnering
* Support the Sales Director and team to execute strategy with a focus on driving performance.
* Perform ROI appraisals on new business opportunities and support the development of annual terms and JBP.
* Support customer pricing negotiations to maximize profitability and growth.
* Provide reporting, analysis, and insight to influence performance targets.
Business Performance Management
* Manage the end-to-end performance cycle (close, forecast, R&O, action planning).
* Provide accurate standard reporting.
* Lead performance reviews and improve processes.
Governance
* Ensure strong financial controls within Commercial.
* Educate and support governance processes and KPIs.
* Maintain accurate financial activities for the Commercial P&L and B/S.
Leadership
* Coach and develop junior team members, including up to 2 graduate or qualified accountants.
What you'll bring...
Qualifications & Experience:
* Qualified Accountant with 3+ PQE and strong analysis skills.
* Experience in FMCG sales finance partnering.
Skills:
* Financial accounting, reporting, and analysis.
* Business planning and management reporting.
* Accounting systems, commercial understanding, negotiation skills.
* People management, communication, risk management, tax, finance, and treasury knowledge.
