We’re seeking an Investment Analyst to join our Alternative Investment team. The successful candidate will assist in supporting the deployment activities led by the Heads of Desks and Portfolio Managers overseeing the Alternative portfolios. As these strategies form part of the established Alternatives platform, the post-holder will have the opportunity to advance their career and in time further contribute to the growth and development of the platform with the support of the CIO. This position is ideally suited to a recent graduate with proven academic achievement in investments or a related discipline who is now looking for their first permanent or long-term opportunity within the investment industry. The team delivers its analysis using a suite of advanced investment models and tools, including asset allocation frameworks, risk models, and scenario analysis. As an Investment Analyst, you’ll contribute to regular portfolio monitoring and reporting cycles, as well as taking part in ad-hoc research projects and supporting the evaluation of potential new investment opportunities. You will develop a thorough understanding of our investment strategies and the tools we use to assess portfolio risk, performance, and resilience. The role involves supporting the accuracy and reliability of our investment data and analysis, ensuring robust processes and high-quality outputs. Our ideal candidate will have a degree (2.1 or above) in a finance, investment management or related-quantitative discipline, with an understanding of investment principles and financial markets. You will possess excellent analytical and numerical capabilities, good written and verbal communication skills, and a desire to learn new concepts quickly within an output-driven environment.
