Salary: £100,000 - 100,000 per year Requirements: We require enhanced security clearance for this role. We are looking for 5 years experience delivering production-grade cloud solutions. We require strong Java experience, with exposure to JVM languages such as Kotlin or Scala. We require experience with Kafka or similar messaging platforms. We require a background in Agile DevSecOps environments and Zero Trust architectures. We require experience integrating with services such as PostgreSQL, Redis, and S3. We require solid engineering fundamentals, including clean code, testing, documentation, code reviews, and continuous delivery. We require comfort using GitHub, GitLab, and Atlassian tools. We require strong TDD experience. We require hands-on experience with microservices and distributed systems. We value exposure to Big Data technologies. We are looking for someone who can work effectively in cross-functional teams and within an Agile environment. Responsibilities: We design, build, deploy, and improve backend services and platforms. We deliver features that meet both functional and non-functional requirements. We estimate and shape user stories as part of an Agile team. We ship small, frequent releases to maintain momentum. We work closely with other engineers in cross-functional teams. We build, optimise, and run CI/CD pipelines. We own and support the services our team delivers in production. We contribute to secure backend platforms used by National Security and Defence customers. We work across modern cloud-based systems in private and public cloud environments.
